Today was a pretty calm Caturday - got up and took Tabby to the vet for her antibiotic shot, and then came home and did a bit of unpacking. Sorta watched the hockey game.
Larry's found that he's a bit detached from the whole hockey thing... he's hoping it's only because he's still having trouble focusing on it. It's also pretty normal for emotions to be heightened and/or suppressed after a stroke. Everything has been scrambled, and it's now time to put them back in order. That will take a while.
Went to Target (meh) and then went to visit Larry for a while.
He was pretty happy to see me... he said "there's my sunshine" :) We chatted a bit, and then Larry wanted to do some of his strengthening exercises. They're coming a little easier, which means he's getting stronger :D yay Larry!!! He said to me that he still has the instinct to use his left hand to do things...I said good - try every time! He was laying down on his side, and lifted his arm up and used his left finger to scratch an itch... still not much control of the fingers, but the arm is coming along nicely :D
He's been at Riverview for two weeks, and the improvement is staggering! I know he's going to slow down a bit, but I'm hoping he gets some use of his left hand. It's already a bit easier for him to put his shirt on - which is a good thing. That's frustrating him to no end - how much trouble he's having doing it.
