Whew, what a day!

Started out with a rough sleep for Larry, but that's because he's starting to get feeling back in his face!  He never told me, but his nose has felt like a clown nose since his stroke...until the past few days. Now, it feels pretty normal...but he's got "itches" all over the place.  he says it's like a hair on his face.  I'm hoping it settles down, but for now...it's irritating him.

Doctor's appointment made me even more confused - we thought it was because his thyroid was still low. Nope. Dr. wanted to see him because his dilantin level was pretty high... if it's high..why is Larry having seizures??
Larry didn't take his meds first thing this morning, just in case the Dr. wanted to check levels.  Guess what - we were right!  So, dilantin and thyroid levels were checked, as well as uric acid.  Larry's left foot is bugging him too... blech.

Home for a bit, and then off to physiotherapy. Where Larry had an AWESOME day!

Did a lot of stretching, and moving...and then...

Larry used his LEFT hand to pick up a pool noodle.  WOOOOOOOOHOOOOO!!

YAY! Larry let me sleep in today! :)

BOO! Larry had a seizure today.  Since he didn't lose consciousness and we already have a dr. appt on Monday, we're just going to keep an eye on him. Another one will get him a quick ride to the hospital, though.

Good day today.

Good time in OT, but got a call from the Dr. office - they want to see him.

Not sure if it's thyroid or dilantin levels, but we'll find out Monday morning.

Off to Gimli area today :)  Visiting Mike at the trailer.

On the way, Larry had a small seizure - it only affected his left hand/arm.  He was tired, but had a good time too.  Went for a long long walk :)

No physio this week, so we'll see the OT tomorrow.

Larry's doing pretty good these days!

The physiotherapist gave him some exercises and stretches for his hip, and he's feeling better! We're also trying different gas remedies, and that's helping too.

I turn 40 tomorrow...eeks!  :)  For the next month, Larry and I are in the same decade :P

As Larry gets better, there will be times, like this, where no blog posts are done.

However, I will still make updates as needed :)

we're having issues with left side pain for Larry - we're not sure if it's the flank, hip or abdomen.  So, we're trying a few things - but if it's not better soon, Larry will see the dr.


For the week of July 1st, we both needed a rest. So we didn't do a whole lot - a bit of saebo, a bit of physio - and a lot of rest!  It was good for both of us.

Larry went to Tori's baseball game on the 5th - he had a good time.  Sadly, he forgot sunscreen so was pretty crispy!  Vinegar to the rescue!!

Today at physio - Larry moved his fingers a LOT.  I had happy tears in my eyes - the poor physiotherapis :O
For my birthday, I asked the Universe to give Larry back the use of his hand... it may actually happen!
