well, about 6 weeks between seizures isn't bad... I was hoping for more.
It's been a bit of a stressful week for Larry with the weather changes and not getting a lot of sleep the past few days. Add to that a bit of anxiety about the weekend (dinner dates, etc). He also had a pill mishap a few days ago, so that probably contributed.
Also noticed that yesterday he was just miserable, and couldn't figure out why. I'm going to go with that it's his "aura" for seizures.
still, we're getting good at it. He called me, let me know what was going on, I grabbed his meds and we got it under control in 5 minutes all told. Thank goodness for Ativan, I tell you! This one would have gone full body, I think - it went from tremors in his finger to his shoulder in 3 minutes.
He said to me "I now understand posts in my support group that have 'Xdays seizure free'". I know he was hoping to have healed from them by now, but they are lessening in frequency and severity - so hopefully he'll keep improving.

Not a whole lot to report, other than Larry managed a full 5 days alone :)
I went to visit my dad, who's recovering from colon cancer surgery, and Larry stayed home by himself. No issues whatsoever, which is great!

Well, to top of a normally shitty day for me, Larry just had a seizure. Meds worked, it only lasted about 5 minutes, but still. @#$@#!!!!!
The good news is that in the past year, he's only had 8 seizures - better than the year before when it was over 12. I'm hoping they lessen more over time :)

Seizure free since July! Woot!
Not much going on - just working on keeping up progress from physio/OT.
Will up date as required, but as you can see - it's not going to be often. :) A quiet life is a good thing.

Dangit - Larry had another seizure today. I'm 90% sure it's because of them messing with his meds due to the shortage.
It seemed that he did better with the clonazepam than he is with the clobazam. I'm going to talk to his seizure doctor tomorrow and see what he thinks.

Well, Larry made it 6 weeks without a seizure.... until today. I was out grocery shopping and he called me and let me know.
The good news is he managed to get the ativan out and take it properly, which stopped the seizure. This was a pretty significant one - his shoulder was starting in on the "fun"! He's pretty sore and a bit upset. :(
I'm wondering if the med switch had anything to do with it - he is now back on the clobazam as of Thursday. Hopefully there's no more shortages - he gets the fun of withdrawing from the new med, and restarting the old med. yuk.

Great. A clobazam shortage has caused Larry to get a different med - clonazepam. *sigh* it's for two weeks, and hopefully he'll be back on the right stuff then.
