Seriously?
The week before and the week after the EEG seizures happen? *sigh*
This one took longer, but that's because the pill didn't hit under Larry's tongue right the first time. Again, one minute after it hit under his tongue right, the seizure stopped.
I'm thinking that it's dehydration that's a trigger.
And, we're also thinking that Larry being in an absolutely unreasonably angry mood is an aura - both times, the day before he was a complete and utter unreasonable jerk.

May 11, 12 and 13 2016
Well, Larry got hooked up for his EEG on the 11th.
As the tech was gluing the electrodes to Larry's head, all I could think was "he's being Upgraded!" lol
Had a recorder change on the 12th and the 13th had it taken off.
While I wouldn't wish seizures on anyone, I was kinda hoping one would happen - so they would have it on the recording.
No obvious seizures happened, but there were a few incidents. We won't know anything until July *sigh*
That construction on Maryland sucks! Made the trip longer, and exhausted both of us :(

Larry had a seizure today. I gave him the ativan, and it worked within one minute. The whole arm was involved and then it just... stopped.
EEG 12 days and counting.

Happy Easter!
Larry's dad has been in the hospital for almost 3 weeks now, and has had two surgeries. They are trying to get his bowel to reconnect, as he had some removed due to a cancerous polyp in October. yuk. Leo's going a little stir crazy, and is tired of being in the hospital. Hopefully things start looking up in the next day or two.
Larry's doing okay - no "major" seizures, but weird sensations and funny tastes in his mouth. We don't know if they're seizures or not. Finally got the ambulatory EEG appt - May 11 is when he gets hooked up. If nothing else, it will give peace of mind - whether they are seizures or not.
Thyroid was low again, so the meds have been increased a bit for that.
Counselling is going well :)
now that it's getting warming, walking should commence again.
Kodi is looking at apartments :O

Jan 29, 2016
Just had the first seizure of the year.
Larry came in and woke me up, telling me he was pretty sure it was a seizure coming/happening. He sat down, I ran and got water/meds.
When I got back, his hand was going pretty darn good and then his arm started. So, I tucked an ativan under his tongue. (which freaked him out, for some reason...we're not sure why, but it stayed there). Less than 2 minutes later, the seizure just...stopped. No lessening, nothing. Pretty sure it was the Ativan stopping it - whew.
Larry wasn't nearly as upset as he usually is - so I'm hoping that they're less scary now...still freaky, but not terrifying.
Things are looking up...

Jan 23, 2016 - Two years
Two years ago today, our lives changed forever.
I came home to Larry on the floor, pretty much incoherent. Within a few minutes of calling 911, I was incoherent too!
well, it's two years later - and things are going pretty good. Larry's still improving - slowly but surely. They say it can take between 5-6 years before the full extent of recovery is known. :)
It was a pretty quiet day today. It was nice.

Jan 22, 2016
It's been a quiet couple of months.
We found out that Larry's Vitamin D was low, so we started him on a supplement on Jan 1, 2016. Wow. What a difference already! It's been 3 weeks, and he's feeling better. His mood has stabilized, no seizures this year *knock on wood*, and his pain level is going down.
we're all quite happy with this :)
