No seizures in the past 10 days, yay!
Larry's doing great!!! He's starting to get more and more motion and control in his hand. The past few days he's been able to stretch his left fingers flat :D
Larry saw Dr. Mario today - last week the dr. was sick.
Good appointment, and he didn't brush Larry's seizures off. He said they're being caused by the stroke, but he's going to refer Larry to a neuro that specializes in seizures. We should hear something in a few weeks. :)
Today is a good day.

When we walked down the hall to the Dr.'s exam room, he said to Larry "Wheres' the stroke?" That made us both pretty happy. Larrys' been working very very hard!

Quick update, since it's been a while since I posted.
We got a new a/c unit in our apartment :D YAY for cool air! Especially since the humidity has been pretty high.
Larry's had a lot more movement in his hand, and more control too.
A couple of days ago, Larry had a twitchy hand. Since it stopped at the hand, and Larry wasn't exhausted, we went with muscle spasms, which can happen.
Larry had a GREAT OT session today. :) His fingers are starting to obey when he thinks "straighten".
The not to great part - Larry went for a walk. While I was waiting for him to get home, I got a call - from the Winnipeg Paramedics! I guess Larry was picking up a couple of things, and had a seizure in the store. Which is better than being out in the street, thank goodness!
He's okay, just bruised and sore. I guess someone got him onto the ground so he didn't fall. I wasn't there, just got the details from the paramedic.
4 hours later, we STILL don't know why he keeps having seizures...well, we do.. but not why the meds aren't controlling them.
We see Dr. Mario on Monday, and hopefully he can help us.

Whew, what a day!
Started out with a rough sleep for Larry, but that's because he's starting to get feeling back in his face! He never told me, but his nose has felt like a clown nose since his stroke...until the past few days. Now, it feels pretty normal...but he's got "itches" all over the place. he says it's like a hair on his face. I'm hoping it settles down, but for now...it's irritating him.
Doctor's appointment made me even more confused - we thought it was because his thyroid was still low. Nope. Dr. wanted to see him because his dilantin level was pretty high... if it's high..why is Larry having seizures??
Larry didn't take his meds first thing this morning, just in case the Dr. wanted to check levels. Guess what - we were right! So, dilantin and thyroid levels were checked, as well as uric acid. Larry's left foot is bugging him too... blech.
Home for a bit, and then off to physiotherapy. Where Larry had an AWESOME day!

YAY! Larry let me sleep in today! :)
BOO! Larry had a seizure today. Since he didn't lose consciousness and we already have a dr. appt on Monday, we're just going to keep an eye on him. Another one will get him a quick ride to the hospital, though.

Off to Gimli area today :) Visiting Mike at the trailer.
On the way, Larry had a small seizure - it only affected his left hand/arm. He was tired, but had a good time too. Went for a long long walk :)
No physio this week, so we'll see the OT tomorrow.

Larry's doing pretty good these days!
The physiotherapist gave him some exercises and stretches for his hip, and he's feeling better! We're also trying different gas remedies, and that's helping too.
I turn 40 tomorrow...eeks! :) For the next month, Larry and I are in the same decade :P
