Welcome to the new year.

Larry is still seizure free.  He sees his seizure doc in March.

Blood pressure is coming down again, thanks to a new med.
I just wish Larry would do things that would help this - like drink more water.  He won't because it "makes him have to pee" and it's a bit of a pain for him.  *sigh*  and of course, I can't "nag" him, because he lashes out.

It's been 5 years since his stroke - and he's made some great progress.  Not sure how much more will happen, but that's ok.  However it ends up, is how it is.

One year seizure free.
Nothing else to report.

Oct 14, 2018

Absolutely nothing seizure related to report.  Nada, zip, zilch since Nov 27, 2017 (at least, that required meds)

Botox was on Oct 5 - all good.  Had his usual fever/ick for a day on the Saturday, but nothing significant.

Blood pressure has started rising again, so we're monitoring and the doc is probably going to change his meds again.  It's partly my fault - I provided a lot of trail mix that was eaten when bored, so weight was put back on.  I'm working on feeding him good food and lower calories, and he's lost a little bit.   We'll know more in November.

April 18, 2018

It's been a long time, but there's been nothing going on that requires a post ;)

Seizures have been.... pretty much nil since November.  Maybe a small one in March, but no meds needed.

Botox was on April 6 - still working well.  His hand is very relaxed and he can use it a small bit. :)

Other than that, nothing new to report.

We had to reschedule his seizure doctor due to massive amounts of snow on the day before. It's now NOVEMBER.  That's crazy long, but since nothing exciting is happening - it's all good ;)

This is becoming a pattern - Larry had a seizure today, while I was out.  I haven't left the house since I came home from the hospital on Thursday, but today - had a doctor appointment, so was out.

He took his meds, and it didn't progress much farther than a bit of a twitch.  He's napping right now, because the meds make him tired.

October 6, 2017

Larry's had another seizure, again while I wasn't home.  I guess I'm not allowed to go out any more lol

The seizures are getting less intense, and less frequent.  This is a good thing!

Larry's also starting to get a bit more exercise - he'd stopped for a bit, so I'm happy he's moving a bit more.  Not for weight loss, just to keep his blood pressure down.

We also bought some compression socks.  Wow - what a difference in his feet!  They're not nearly as puffy, and I think they feel better too.

Larry's also noticed a bit more mobility in his toes and fingers - I think he's still healing a bit, and who knows - maybe he'll get some more functionality in his hand :)

August 29, 2017

Oops. Better late than never, I guess.

Seizure today - nothing horrible, but I wasn't home.  Luckily Kodi was, and was able to help with the ativan.  It stopped quickly, as always.

it seems the time between seizures is getting longer - which is a very good thing! :)
